Something In Abstract

Welcome Friend Or Visitor...

I Did Some Photos I Felt Were Interesting,
Wondered How I Could Bring Them Into A Posting To Share....
Well Filing Photos Gave Me An Answer....

I Discovered Others That To Me Are Simply Interesting....

So Chose The Concept Of Abstract To Tell Their Story....

May You Also Find Them Interesting....

The first two I did with Vivaz while walking with my Felicity. The time was late Twilight... Night was more present than the Light of Twilight, but the result felt.... well you decide....

A hint of Twilight's Light is still visible behind the Street Light.

The next photo is of the same Street Light, with a vehicle passing....

I noticed the effect happen in Vivaz's Viewer while doing the previous photo. Wondered if I could record the effect... waited... and the above result happened. I find the effect quite beautiful.

Had an interesting time creating both those photos. Though they looked interesting on Vivaz.... once my little Acer Netbook Computer had them, all I could see was a black image, with a dot of light - the Street Lamp's Light.
I took a chance, opened each in Windows Photo Editing Area to see if I could bring out the effect I saw on Vivaz. Applied Auto-Correct. With pleasure I saw re-emerge a hint of what I had... then I lifted out a little more of the shadows, intensified the contrast, deepened the saturation, went a bit heavy on the sharpening and achieved what I feel I saw on Vivaz.
Hope you have liked the result. I am pleased with both. They feel to hold Stories, which I like to experience when viewing something different.

There are other photos I feel are interesting if you would like to continue with this Journey and view them and their Stories....

The next photo is of Timber and Leaves. Done back in October 2008, with my then VGA phone I called "Blacky".....

White Ants do terrible damage to Homes... but.... at the same time, I feel White Ants create truly beautiful designs in the Timber they eventually abandon, once finished with their eating and establishing of Living Conditions to suit their needs within Timber. The Timber also becomes fragile enough to crumble into powder when not handled carefully.
I'm not sure if the above Timber was affected by White Ants, as I have not noticed them be an issue where I am, but I very much liked the textures I saw as morning Sun Light travelled in and about with assisting what is becoming Nature's Mulch.
I know Blacky never achieved detailed photos. But to me, there is still an artistic quality Blacky did give, with what may have been only 1 megapixel to create what it saw with.

The next, also by Blacky in October 2008, is of a Ray of Sunlight....

Immediately Under the Steps where I rent, has an Earth and Rock type Garden concept. I have a list, longer than I really like to think about, of moments photographed in that small rectangle of Earth and Rock.... nearly all done by Blacky.... the above photo is one of those moments.

In November 2008, Blacky achieved the following fascinating results, as the Sun's Light filtered through shade-cloth, onto a fish tank, as the tank's filter's aerating bubbles moved through the Water, while the Goldfish swam about amid the whole happening....

I love those photos. I find them visually fascinating.

Returning to October 2008 and Blacky gave the following beautiful reflection of  the Sky with Clouds and Trees in my Ganders' Pond....

Staying with the theme of Water, but now moving on to my then next phone "Viewty"... it is November 2009 and again my Ganders' Pond provided the image as I was filling it....

I do love Water. It is a beautiful medium in so many different ways, when not being intense enough to cause devastating damage. Though even when Water is being destructive, the Power Water displays is awesome before one has to see the aftermath.

         From Water to Land....
In April 2009 Viewty achieved the following two photos. They are not maybe really abstract... but are interesting...

One of the beautiful things about old things that are no longer in use, is how picturesque they can become with age... that is how I feel about the above images.
The photos are of what would have been, Once Upon A Time... The Outhouse. The Dunny. The Latrine. The Necessarium.
Necessarium is a word I heard, while listening to my Area's Local ABC Radio Station. The programme usually happens weekly, is all about Words and Grammar, with a key word to define.... that was one. A word once used, and still is by some, to describe the place you go, to do that essential activity of evacuating the remains of what has been digested by one's Body.

To close this Journey, of hopefully interesting photos for you, is with another of Blacky's Creations done in October 2008. The image is through a Crystal my Hens have in their Sleeping Coop...

The Colours happened as light inter-played with the colour of my Hen's Curtains and the Crystal. Rather pretty I feel.

Thank you for Journeying with the various images from all three of my Mobile Phones. I personally feel Blacky and Viewty, each have given me wonderful moments to see, remember, share and enjoy, as does Vivaz in the present.

Introductory Image is from -

Photos have been achieved by me with "Blacky"- an Lg VGA phone. "Viewty"- an Lg 5megapixel phone. "Vivaz" - a Sony Ericsson 8megapixel phone.
And... I'm including the Windows Photo Editor Area of my Computer, because I would not have had the first two to share without it.

Wishing you wellness filled with good wishes to enjoy,
from Magda with appreciation.

  1. Hi, Magda. I've been away on vacation, so your post has been sitting patiently in my Google Reader for a while. These are just a fabulous collection of images, and they perfectly express the title of your blog ...inspirations happen...

And that you did these with cell phone cameras just proves that a person doesn't need to have a fancy camera to be creative. You have a very artistic spirit!

And, I plan on working necessarium into
my vocabulary. It surely sounds more interesting than saying, "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the can"!

  3. I've been a bit slow with my response, and I apologise, but I simply filled with multi-levelled emotions when I saw in my Inbox, inputs from two very special Nature Bloggers...
Then I came to respond and also discovered a new Follower, MIAWEBB13. 'miawebb13' is not a Blogger, but is a lovely Friend, dedicated to the health and contentment of her Animal Friends, whom I see at least weekly.

Nature sure sent out the best of support from far and near for me and my Hen Victoria in our time of need.
Late Sunday night my Victoria became quite ill. After dosing her with what I could think would help, covering her with a rug and placing my hot water bottle beside her, I could do nought else but wait while she struggled with feeling very unwell.

I nodded off, awoke, held my breath to check... and though feeling a bit worn out... Victoria had emptied out what had been bothering her. I may have had a mess to clean up, which included her... but relief flooded in seeing she was still mine to cherish.

Being nearly my Monday's daylight, came to check my Inbox.
My words are inadequate for expressing how supported I felt discovering two very special Nature Bloggers had stopped by and left me with beautiful words to read.....

CINDY & LAURA, discovering you both here was awesome.
Thank you both for bringing your Love of Nature when I needed it most for me and my Hen Victoria.

Am pleased to add... Victoria has fully recovered and is as beautifully cheeky and demanding as usual.

I really do believe both your presences helped. And my Friend miawebb13's timing for joining... well... Nature's Magic was definitely at work... 3 is a special number for the gathering together of energy.

Me and Victoria were truly supported through our long night... was truly a beautiful discovering.

Thanks to each of you with love and hugs from me, Magda, and my Hen Victoria.

  4. Magda, do you have a picture somewhere on your blog of Victoria? Sorry, I'm too lazy to search through all the pages myself :P

  5. Oh Cindy, you are truly a beautiful Person, no wonder your BugSafari and MyThingsnStuff are such fabulous experiences.

I feel warmed to my core from your caringness... It's good you didn't go searching... haven't yet done a Posting for my Hens, Victoria and her Sister Suzanna.

If I'm on time... I'll have one Posted to celebrate their 2nd Birthday during the first week of August.
I'll send you an Email when I've done it.

Thank you immensely for your kindness... appreciate your gift more than this would be able to express.
Deep hugs from Magda with love.

  7. How silly of me... you mentioned this Post was patiently waiting in your Google Reader... thank you Cindy, I didn't realise what you find here you found worth Subscribing for, I'm deeply honoured.

I treasure your words of me being an artistic spirit. Though I do feel it is the Spirit of Nature that touches me and shows me the moments I'll respond to with interest and a longing to portray. I've been blessed with each of my phones being able and willing to do and give of their best. Thank you Cindy for your encouragement and support.

I was so pleased being able to include the word necessarium... it is a beautiful word for the odoriferous moments one must indulge in. So glad you like it, and I do agree, far more poetic than 'can' or 'dunny'.
I think there are many old words that once rediscovered are worth using, just a matter of meeting them.

    Thanks again Cindy,
You have given me abundance, I really have appreciated it, hugs from Magda.
