Hi there wonderful Friends and Visitors,
welcome to a moment of... mmm... can't think of a good word...
so I'll just describe the moment as exploring possibilities, and going a bit wild
thanks to Kel of the Xfacta (http://xfacta.blogspot.com/).
The resulting outcome for me.....
And now you've met my my Lun-ho-bush-gib-con-bird wildside....
and when I was done,
the wondrous cave in the mountain had dripping water to quench my thirst.
and when I was done,
the wondrous cave in the mountain had dripping water to quench my thirst.
Do continue and discover about my Wild Self's combination....
My Lun aspect are my Luna Moth Antennae. I have over 40 thousand odour receptors with them to detect odours near and far... maybe not always a good thing seeing I'm not actually a Luna Moth and they really are designed for detecting other Moths, but I'm sure mine will adapt to me as I need them.
Do you like my Ho bit... they're my interesting ears adapted for me courtesy the Red River Hog's Realm. I think they look great, and I'm really quite appreciative of their gift. I can now fluff out my black and white ear tassels when threatened and look quite large and fierce to intimidate would be predators. So... maybe on me the would be nasty will be so busy laughing it will simply forget it was going to have a go at me. I can live in hope. Still think they look great and do feel good with the wind when fluffy.
What about my Bush part... may sound earthy, but my Bush Baby Nocturnal Eyes have given me vision like I've never had, especially at night... hence my cosy mountain cave... and no more need for glasses. Well except for during the day... I do then need my Polarised Sunnies... daylight is a bit too much when I'm in my Wild Self State, and I do so like my very nice, and so large Bush Baby nocturnal eyes, Sunglasses are a small inconvenience.
How about my Gib... rather neat don't you think... what part are they??? My arms of course. No point being in a Mountain Cave with just water for nourishment. Now, with my Gibbon Designer Arms when I'm in a Tree or similar type structures, those arms of mine enable me to jump distances of over 20 feet/6 metres between objects I can grasp onto. And they don't go astray for reaching things either.
Now for my Con part. I thought at first con... what will I be conning... a bit of a concern... but no... it's those shapely legs of mine. Those California Condor legs with their blunt claws are just great for digging the ground when gardening... even though the California Condor actually uses it's legs for straddling leftovers to munch on from other Creature's kills. A bit tawdry. I rather proved to be a disappointment to them in that area when they saw me using those great California Condor legs and feet of mine for digging about gardening, or assisting me with holding onto branches while I reached for scrumptious fruit or with keeping a firm hold on the rocky terrain while moving about my Cave's Mountain. Pity, especially when the California Condors baulked at my offer to join me to a feast of fruit. They didn't even want the leftovers I chose to leave for them. That puzzled me too, because I'd done the gathering, left the scraps, wandered off and quietly returned to see it all there still. Some Scavengers are fussy it seems.
Having the essentials achieved for daily survival, I felt a little decorative, but still useful additions would be nice. After a few consultations the decision was settled on what became my Bird parts... plural. The Lesser Bird of Paradise suggested their type of additions would suit... not too flamboyant, practical, and dressy. So their I am with my wonderfully made elegant Lesser Bird of Paradise Wings to float upon air thermals with. Very therapeutic, and most useful when I need to be somewhere quickly. Though I'll never be so revered as to become an Emblem on a Flag like the real Lesser Birds of Paradise are in their native Papua New Guinea, I still think I look quite good for my own needs, and that's what counts for me. Nice of the Lesser Birds of Paradise suggesting their style of wing considering their high status.
I even have their concept of a tail to boogie and do the dusting with. Very handy and I like the colours, very co-ordinated with my overall Wild Look. The male Lesser Bird of Paradise has brightly coloured feathers for his tail... and the the female Lesser Bird of Paradise simply swoons when he boogies just right with his lustrous tail.
And now you've met all the bits that made me Wild... I think I look surprised.
Why not discover your wild self....

Heaps of your good wishes and hopes be fulfilled.
Magda and Crew

wow, you've had so much fun with this Magda
ReplyDeleteyou've got some serious feather mojo happening there, from top to toe
i see we share some wildself characteristics with the lun-ho bits
glad you enjoyed the art attack challenge :)
Loved the Art Attack KEL... thanks.
DeleteAnd I do agree that my feathery bits are not too bad at all, especially when I move about and hear them flutter in the breeze... the array of colours I've found are also good for creating confusion when necessary.
Our similar Lun Ho bits... well a great sense of smell, with flashy ears... I just couldn't resist the offer.
Thanks for stopping by Kel.
That is SO cool ...

Love it! Especially those red river hog ears! I fancy a pair of those. They'd liven up visits to town!
ReplyDeleteHello Snail,
DeleteMy WildSelf's ears are spiffy I agree. I rather think they're my best feature...
mmm... Town may be become all a chatter, but I wonder what your Wildlife would make of your wild ears!
My imagination is seeing all sorts of interesting reactions from them.
Fabulous to have you Visit Snail, thanks.
Hopefully you haven't received my responses again. Apologies if does happen. I've changed my Comment form to the Embedded version. I like the option to directly reply to someone who has left their input, feels more personal. Then me being me, is now working my way through my Posts to re-place my responses into the Reply section. So some copying, pasting and deleting is happening.
