My wonderful Dove Wonderbird's 12th Birthday.......
Wonderbird is the Dove on the left. His Friend on the right is Poppi. Poppi will be 9 this year.... and I think I have miscalculated and Poppi just might be 10 this year.
The photo was done by Vivaz phone and me on 13 December 2011 with early morning Sunshine streaming in on them.

ReplyDeleteI read Wonderbird's story. So that's why your doves always appear to just be lounging around on pillows and blankets. I was wondering if they were unable to fly, but I didn't expect they were so incapacitated. Yet, it doesn't surprise me that you would give them such tender care, accepting and loving them as they are.

Wonderbird is such an inspiration, and Poppi a real character... their Friendship wonderful for them both.

Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park in Florida has a lady who does performance art throughout the park and she is costumed like a walking tree. My first thought when I saw here was that she was a "Woman of the Forest."

LAURA I did the Journey back in time to thank you, and it sure did feel like another time and place.
ReplyDeleteWonderbird is watching his Birthday Greetings being responded to, and he too did the Time Travel bit, and re-saw his 11th Birthday.
By the look on his face, and his eyes real dark... which they do when he feels pleasure and contentment... I'd say both his Birthdays have rolled into one big moment of delighfulness.
I so agree with you about the name DiVine... and I think that's why I passed the checking at BeachBums... my mind registered Die Vine... not at all what I would have linked to "The Ents" or Walking Trees.
Oh well, maybe whoever thought of the name was not having the best of moments, or simply played around with Divine or Diva and bypassed the concept of Dryad.
Sometimes a Walking Tree by any other name does pose questionable identity!
