Welcome To My Journey With A Cluster Of Lavender Mushrooms,
And
A Story Of Some I Met Many Years Ago Visiting Reader...
Now my words may seem at odds with my chosen introductory image, well I wondered about that also... yet it was the one that felt strongest with the photos being included. Then as I think about Mushrooms, there are definitely some which look very Otherworldly, more as if appearing from Fantasy Realms. With that view in mind I think the overall effect will blend with the photos and the Story to tell from a previous experience I encountered with Lavender/Lilac coloured Mushrooms.
The photos are from my previous 5megapixel Lg Viewty phone. The resolution is definitely lacking, but the Story the Mushrooms gave, I feel are still worth sharing. Mushrooms are wonderfully interesting subjects to photograph, and the variety seems endless.
The photos you'll see were done during May 2009. Interestingly, they were out in the open, doing there thing amid grass, with minimum shade. Their main time of shade occurred for a short while in the morning, then filtered light around midday due to Trees nearby and of course at night. Unusual for Mushrooms. Also, I don't recall there had been much rain to encourage their emergence... but they happened, and they were large.
The following photo is of this one cropped. I had watched the Ant travel across the surface of the Mushroom and then stop when reached the edge, of what to the Ant, would probably have seemed to be an enormous gap to the other side from where it was. I observed it edge closer, peer over, move back... there was quite some decisions to be made.
Ants, I've noticed, are not fussed with having to change their direction when heading along a chosen Path. Therefore this one was faced with a dilemma.
As you can see... there really isn't a huge deviation just on the left of the Ant, but that still meant veering away from its course. In peering over the edge, the Ant discovered there was also no direct way via that path to continue along as intended..... solution, not seen... turn back, do something else, find another way to reach the other side along a straight path.
Regardless, of the lack of resolution, this really does give one an idea of what the Ant was faced with. Even if had chosen to deviate to the left to reach the other side, there was still the Mushroom Mountain further along with its own pitfalls and challenges.
Personally feel the Ant's decision to turn back was a wise one. May have taken the Ant days to reach where it had intended going by continuing, which probably was not part of its agenda. Hopefully, it did reach its destination comfortably.
Moving on from Ant's Adventure....
I really like the photo you've just viewed, the angle of the Sun's light at the time was muted by Trees further away. Also with the end of Autumn approaching meant the Sun was lower in the Sky. Overall, the prevailing conditions provided filtered Shadow Play from this angle, revealing, to me, the beautiful colouring of these Mushrooms.
With the next photos, you'll see about a week later their Passing Time occurring....
I don't know how you feel, but I know I certainly hope when my time arrives to Pass Onwards and Away that I do so as majestically.
They gave me a truly beautiful surprise in happening. Their arrival was it seemed quite spontaneous. It was one day no sign, then next day by mid-afternoon they were there. Nearly 2yrs on from then, but at the beginning of Autumn this time, they are here for you to experience, albeit only visually, but is also special.
The Story I'm including has only words. The Event occurred back in 1997 during late Autumn nearing Winter's time and concluded during 1998. Making the retelling of this Story almost like an Anniversary. Noticing this, had me calculate the time span... 14yrs.
The number may have no meaning for you, but for me has significance. Without going into details... I experienced back then, quite clearly, what I later learnt was possibly an Angel, regardless if one believes in the like, whose name I 'felt said' to be Cassiel. The numeral 14 is the Key showing me Cassiel is present.
Many years later I picked up a book about various aspects of Metaphysical things.... My head reeled, and I nearly fell of the chair I had been sitting on as I read about the Angel Cassiel. Fascinating. I had prepared to Post this back in February 2011... and only now is it happening, with what is becoming a many layered retelling of a Story. Furthermore... discovering this new input with doing this Story had me look at today's date.
The reason for doing so, is I had succeeded in doing the first part of this Sharing ready to be Posted for Sat 26 of March, but have been unable to finish this part until today. With what has just emerged, I'm intrigued to know more. Today's date 28.03.2011 is - 2+8+3+2+1+1=17. I don't know if you have any interest in Tarot. I find the Path interesting. 17 in most Traditional Tarot is symbolised by "The Star". A sign of Hope. Encouraging one to not give-up. Also my name Magda resonates with the numeral 17. With 8 being 17's finite state is also meaningful. 8 in Tarot represents Strength, Justice, Healing, depending on the Tarot looked at, but to me each intertwines. 8 is also my Life Path's Number. My emotions have stirred quite deeply with these revealings. Interestingly also is the 26th, when added reaches a finite 6. And the would have been date's 6 with today's finite 8 gives 14. Seems, the Magic of a Circle is still happening.
For many reasons... this learning means much to me, but not now for the Telling. Another time. I do appreciate being shown, and chose to share with you this happening even though may seem irrelevant. It really isn't, as has occurred with the doing of this Post. In essence you have shared in a Magical Moment. May you benefit from the Message also.
Returning to this Story's Past... Me and my Tribe were living at a place called Takura, half way between Hervey Bay and Maryborough Queensland Australia. The Property about 50yrs previously had been a Timber Saw Mill, and we lived in the remaining little Cottage. Rather a pretty description really, it was not pretty, simply functional.
When we were there the Property for many a year had been transformed into a working Cane Farm. That was as interesting as it was unpleasant. The years we experienced there were not particularly kind, many of us died. Why did we stay do you wonder.... financially viable for me. Lack of funds require fortitude when accepting a place to reside, especially when other than me, the bulk of us are varying Critters.
Why have a quantity of Critters if living somewhere was a difficulty and finances lacking... well they were already part of my life before our difficulties began. I chose to persevere regardless of our change in circumstances, and as you have already met in previous Postings some of those of us remaining, you can assess by their ages, they also chose to persevere with me.
With introducing the situation I'll now retell our Tale....
About mid 1997, between two rather large Mango Trees towards the back of what was our yard area, a Circle had formed. It was located in such a way that in the Morning received the Sun's appearing Light, and the Moon's Light when appearing in Western Sky.
The Circle's diameter was about 5ft (about 1.5mtrs). The circumference was created by a rim-band of about 12inches (about 30cm) wide. Within the rim's area the Grass did not grow. What Grass had been there had turned a light Grey-Brown. Within the Circle, the Grass was a darker richer Green than the remainder of the Lawn outside the rim's circumference. The rich Green Grass within the Circle grew lushly. That was the first interesting happening.
The Circle stayed with us for about 12months. Stepping into it, gave a sensation of being in a Vortex, the mind filling with swirling grey tones, and a sense of standing on the wide end of a cone. Visitors found they either could not step into it, as the doing caused nausea, or, were able to, and felt energised.
My Geese would not enter it. They would rest around it, but never in it. Only one did eventually... and he was not very well at the time. So that was interesting. The Dog and Cat also would only walk around it, but not through it. The Gander who had not been well, I buried near there when he died some twelve months later. The Circle had dissipated by then.
What I will add here though.... the area did have a Goose buried there a few years prior to the Circle forming. Between the Mango Trees had been a favourite spot for the Geese, and a favourite Spot seemed the right place to bury a departed deeply loved Friend.
Months passed, and we lived with the unusual phenomena being part of our lives. It had retained its perfect looking circular shape. Within the rim's band the grass never actually died, just remained as if in stasis.
(I'm going to deviate for a moment.... I looked up the word 'stasis' to ensure the feeling of the word actually provided the best description. This is what I read - "motionless state. A state in which there is neither motion nor development, often resulting from opposing forces balancing each other". Not just apt, but interesting also.)
Eventually I discovered one dewy morning, inside the Circle, near the rim, a cluster of tiny very lilac/lavender coloured Mushrooms with white undersides. What accentuated this happening was the clusters, like bouquets, were located in 4 positions... North, South, East, West. And that is the position they maintained as the Circle from then on went through changes, bringing about its departure.
The changes were quite rapid. At first weekly, then daily, then gone. And the rim's grass once in stasis, again greened, and grew normally.
The Circle changed shape, became an Oval at first, then Ovoid, then was no more. During those changes, the bouquet cluster of tiny lilac/lavender Mushrooms remained, but also began deteriorating until they too were no more. For a while after the Circle and they were gone, there were occasions when similar clusters would occur about the yard after rain. Sometimes, in the present, where now I live in Gympie Queensland, there are occasions when I see tiny lilac/lavender Mushrooms. Though never again quite like the ones with the Circle.
Well the end of this Sharing has been reached. I may not have understood why the Introductory Image felt strongly right. Now, though, I am thankful I allowed the feelings filling me to have their own way. I look at it now and smile. Cassiel is often depicted riding a Dragon, so I read when I first read of Cassiel. Living truly can be a wondrous experience.

The Retelling of a Story... an Adventure
With my appreciation,
and bestest wishes to you, from Magda
Magda...interesting story...i've never seen lavender mushrooms...but they sound magical to me! as does the 'circle'.
ReplyDeleteso...WHERE do you think that 'circle' was from? WHY had it appeared there? for what reason? purpose? another dimension? alien?
very mysterious....
(for your info...i have Tarot deck...although i'm NOT a good teller...i do use it at times. numerology, i ching...the supernatural...mysticism...all these have such a fascination to me!)
nice post Magda! and i think the graphic you chose at the beginning is a perfect match to your story.
now you have me wondering...what happened to your living and working...at the Cane farm??? how did you end up there and how did you move on??? for another time...
thanks for your story... :]laura
My Life would be so lacking without you being part of it LAURA K,
ReplyDeleteWhere to begin with answers... I think definitely another time... I'm wordy enough even in Comments. I'd be challenging the Comments Form's abilities am sure if I try.
Wrapped you have enjoyed and been intrigued by this Post. I was and still am mystified by it all.
I too explore various avenues of Tarot... they are interesting, often quite accurate, and I also feel are good Teachers. The I-Ching is one of my favourites.
Maybe the best way I can respond is to work on a Post in response to your 'wonderings', would be interesting for me discovering how the Story unfolded also... and probably quite Healing. The Cane Farm was not one of my better experiences with Living.
Thanks Laura K for being inspiring, for caring, and for being interested.
Hugs of appreciation to you from Magda
