An Event Filled Month

 

    Welcome to My Observation Journey

  

             December 2010 is showing its self to be filling with events.  I'm going to begin with an event which for me now seems to maybe not just have been special in the happening, but maybe an indication that connected events were emerging.  Events which may have been like a path the Universe (Earth inclusive) in general walked upon step by step.  Stopping occasionally to give something all on Earth would be able to experience.

         My thinking is not about being scientific.  Just a way of putting words together.  Of expressing an observation in the way I'm feeling it.

        While looking up Events of 2010. Information on Storm Cells. Geminid Meteor Shower etc... also observed other information... there felt to be a flow, a connection... and so the shaping in my mind began of seeing a Path occurring...

        So this giving will begin with my 28th Nov 2010 "Twilight Rainbow" photo Posted the 29th. It was a fortuitous happening, a successful result and felt pleased to be able to share the event.  Have since learnt 28th November 2010 also same date when Wikileaks released more than 250,000 cables including 100,000 marked 'secret' or 'confidential'.         Next came the events of the 13th & 14th November 2010.  The Geminid Meteor Shower.  I didn't manage to see this event, though did witness the Leonid's Meteor Shower of November 2001.  Showers of streaking lights cascaded through the night sky. Beautiful. But I digress... While the Geminids were doing their thing, read while at one of the science sites (my notes are not coherent enough at the moment to be specific) that the Sun also began having a magnetic moment. In particular on the 14th.

        The Sun's event of a magnetic eruption coincided with Gemind's display. Reading, learnt that a filament of magnetism lifted up from the Sun's surface, snapped, and erupted.  Blast produced an hour long Solar Flare and then hurled a magnificent expanding cloud into Space.  The expanding cloud though not hurtling directly towards Earth, may deliver a glancing blow to Earth's own magnetic field a few days later.  High altitude Auroras are likely.

        I'll add that it is possible for Earth's weather conditions to be affected by those combined happenings.  After all the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing intense cold, while here in the Southern Hemisphere is Torrential Rain and flooding.  Have heard it said that Australia is either in drought or in flood.

        Moving on to the next event.... the Total Lunar Eclipse, which I read is a rare event.....


      

        The date in December for this is the 21st.  Next significant event joins in.... The rare Total Lunar Eclipse coincides with the Winter Solstice of the Northern Hemisphere and the Summer Solstice of the Southern Hemisphere.  An event which has not occurred since the 1600's.

        I looked at the date of this... 21 - 12 - 2010.

2' and 1's.   21 and 12 mirror each other. The 2 an 1 repeat in 2010.

Very interesting I feel.

        Seeing that, I looked at the year such an event last occurred...

1638.  1+6+3+8 = 9

21.12.2010.  2+1+1+2+2+1 = 9

        Will let that be. Interesting I do feel it is though. Christmas Day and New Year's Eve are still on their way to join in and become part of these eventfilled events for the closing of 

2010.

Looking North, the Moon gave this after midnight on 22nd December 2010. To me the effect with the clouds is beautiful.

Feel honoured to have this memento of a special time for the Moon.

        When I saw the Moon on the Eastern Sky before the Clouds thickened, I felt is too dark into the night for my phone Vivaz. When the Clouds did thicken, the interplay of light between the Moon and the moving Clouds each time I checked was like they were doing a slow caressing waltz.  I decided to try.  I will always in future give Vivaz the opportunity to have a go. It is wonderful to have an outlet like Blogger to share the resulting giving.
