Today in Australia is the 26th of January and is regarded as Australia Day.
This celebratory holiday day has become a day of controversy in regard to how this day came into being.
I have not any details to give at this time, other than it is a day of grieving for most Indigenous Australians, hence much debate has begun in recent years about its validity.
One positive suggestion is giving the day the acknowledgement of both Indigenous and non-indigenous Australian folk.
I like that idea. Country can only flourish if all its Folk recognise they are as responsible for the wellness of each other as they are for the Country they dwell amid.
Respect for each other and Country is to me a good Path to build an Australia Day worth celebrating.
(I'm simply tossing in stuff for now to save my Blog. I'm still not sure whether to keep it happening. I have not been focused on this type of story telling way, but at least I'm giving my self the choice when I'm ready to decide. Feels silly to abandon it)
Be well .. Magda
